This month, we are sharing their tips to help you take your life and salon to the next level. We hope you have an amazing May and don’t forget to leave a comment letting us know which tip you’d like to try!

START YOUR DAY WITH MEDITATION AND FINISH IT WITH GRATITUDE

You don’t have to be a Zen Master and spend all day sitting in silence. Just 5-10 minutes each day will give you clarity, focus and perspective. If you find it challenging to just sit and focus on your breath, try using a guided meditation – there are loads of free apps.

And in the evening, before you fall asleep think about 3 things you been grateful for: a person, situation and something about yourself.

Only one week of these two practices will make you feel calmer, more productive and happy. Be ready for some magic 🌟

TUNE INTO YOUR WELL-BEING

Listen to your well being! Listen to how you feel and follow the good feeling. Our bodies literally will tell us everything we need to know to live healthy full lives, however we have to listen and get in tune with the feeling of well-being.

DO LESS AND DO BETTER

Don’t try to do everything today. You will not really get anything done this way. Focus on one, two or three tasks and get them done properly. Guess what?! You still have tomorrow and the day after that to do those other things. It’s OK to not get everything done today!

SET A GOAL THAT FEELS WAY TOO AMBITIOUS

Tim Ferriss’ statement about how there’s less competition for big, crazy goals has made a huge impact on me. We spend lots of time tempering our goals and expectations so that we don’t get disappointed, however then our goals are boring to us and feel optional.

Sometimes you need to set and attain a goal that reminds you just how big you can show up and play in your business. So whatever that thing is that you’re putting off for your next 90 day plan when you’re “bigger” or “more ready” — do it now!

STAY IN YOUR OWN LANE

When I purchased my salon for the first few months I was scared to put something out there because I didn’t want to look like I was copying another salon. I’ve actually canceled a few posts, promos, and ideas because of this. Which ultimately broke me into the habit of constantly looking at what others are doing so I knew what to “avoid,” and worse kept me from growing my salon. So I made a decision to completely stop paying attention to what others are doing and picked up more clients and made more income.

Bottom line – don’t focus on what others are doing, focus on what you can do for others.
